Prime Minister Omar Razzaz attended the launch of the Massar application, a transport communication system designed to regulate school transport services.
The app aims at providing a tracking and routing system and includes services related to monitoring performance and reporting service levels, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In remarks to the press following the event, the premier lauded the move towards enhancing the safety of school transport, expressing hopes that the app will be released throughout the Kingdom’s governorates soon. During the ceremony, Transport Minister Walid Saif said that licensing vehicles for school transport through amending related legislations has contributed to establishing 10 school transport companies in five governorates, with 47 licensed staff, anticipating that the number will reach 120 during the upcoming period.
