TESCO Mobile has fired up its 5G network in 24 towns and cities across the UK.
Customers can sign up to the retailer's super-fast mobile internet at locations including Coventry, Glasgow, Leeds and London.
It makes Tesco Mobile the latest network to offer 5G following launches from major UK carriers such as EE, Three and Vodafone.
The introduction of 5G, the next generation of mobile phone networks, promises lightning-fast network speeds that will allow users to download an HD movie in seconds.
Tesco is launching with fiercely competitive pricing, with its SIM-only 5G contracts starting at just £15 a month.
Pay monthly contracts – the ones that include a smartphone – start at less than £30 a month with 5G.
The network said it would switch on 5G in a total of 50 locations in time for summer, including Bournemouth, Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Wolverhampton.
