Raindance partners with indy film streamer paus

A new streaming service featuring independent cinema has agreed a partnership with the UK’s largest independent film festival.

Paus, which goes live in March, will offer a selection of independent and award-winning short films and documentaries curated by Raindance. The film festival receives over 10,000 submissions each year from which it selects around 200 features and shorts.

“At paus we share Raindance’s passion for independent film. Our partnership will enable great stories to be seen, by enabling filmmakers to get their content in front of an audience that embraces and supports them,” said Rishi Kapoor, Founder and CEO of paus. “We don’t believe in barriers – there are no ads on paus, and we don’t ask people to subscribe to enjoy quality film. We have created paus as the platform for filmmakers to flourish.”

“As a champion of independent film of every shape and size, Raindance always conveys many incredible stories, including the very best from the international short filmmaking community,” added Raindance founder Elliot Grove, founder of Raindance says.

Paus will be subscription free, but audiences will be able to ‘tip’ the filmmakers through digital payment methods, such as Apple Pay.
