Biznet Networks completes Manado, North Sulawesi expansion

Biznet Networks, the broadband services provider owned by Indonesian tycoon Rudy Suliawan via Supra Primatama Nusantara, has announced the completion of its latest network expansion, taking in the city of Manado, in North Sulawesi Province, its inaugural foray on the island of Sulawesi.

While work continues to deploy its network to cover other cities on the island, Biznet President Director Adi Kusma said that its decision comes in the wake of ‘many requests from the people in Sulawesi to expand our network to cities on this island, one of which is the city of Manado’. He confirmed that going forward, the operator hopes to be live in other urban areas of Sulawesi ‘soon’ while noting that its rollout programme will continue on other islands across the Indonesian archipelago. Today, its fibre-optic network spans more than 40,000km in more than 110 cities along Java, Bali, Sumatra, Batam, Kalimantan and Sulawesi. Super-fast services are offered to residential users (homes, apartment buildings) and the SME or start-up business segment.
