Belgian grid operator Fluvius announced the expansion of its FTTH network to the Flemish town of Poperinge. The company announced a year ago plans to cover the cities of Genk, Ghent, Poperinge, Diksmuide and Antwerp with its own fibre network.
The roll-out in Poperinge started with a meeting for residents on 10 December and will last until summer 2020. Fluvius said its original planning has been adjusted due to planning delays. The roll-out is already underway in Genk, but other cities will only get started in 2020.
