Haruspex, an Italian cybersecurity company with international award-winning predictive technology, has selected Bahrain as its headquarters to serve the GCC.
Haruspex, the developer of a unique cyber security proactive and predictive technology for protecting critical and sensitive ICT infrastructures, has partnered with Dinamica International to set up its GCC operations.
Haruspex aims to identify and develop important pilot cases within major regional industries in the GCC, and to develop valuable strategic partnerships with key industrial partners and deploy the technology and solutions at pan-GCC level.
The company will focus on sectors such as: oil and gas, power generation; Utilities distribution infrastructure; healthcare, telecom, defence, smart grids and meters, desalination plants, Smart vessels, and financials and distributed ledgers.
Dr Bijan Majidi, founder and CEO of Dinamica International, headquartered in Bahrain, introduced the Haruspex team at a workshop and presentation at the Capital Club Bahrain, held under the patronage of Italian Ambassador to Bahrain Domenico Bellato.
The Haruspex team led by its three founders showcased its expertise in active cyber security alongside its suite of SW platforms and solutions, specifically designed and customised for public, private, governmental and military organisations which are crucially dependent on critical and sensitive ICT infrastructure.
The company's CEO Dr Marcello Montecucco, a former senior IBM executive, presented key aspects of the Haruspex technology, its capability to proactively identify all threats and develop the necessary vital mitigation strategies and remedies which allow the ICT infrastructure to adapt itself, even before the threat materialises, thereby proving “the best form of defence is predict and engage”.
Co-founder, Professor Fabrizio Baiardi, a Professor of risk assessment and management at the prestigious Universita’ di Pisa, Italy, said the company's “Digital Twin Technology” enables multiple automated simulations on digital replicas of the infrastructure and of the adversaries.
The technology is the result of many years of joint research and development with the Universita’ di Pisa, with which Haruspex maintains a continuing strategic partnership.
Also present at the workshop, in his role as head of institutional relationships with government, public and military authorities, was co-founder of Haruspex, retired admiral of the Italian Navy, Dr Dino Nascetti, and Dr Filippo Lubrano, business development manager at Haruspex.
Throughout the week, the Haruspex team has engaged with individual government authorities and heads of private and public companies in Bahrain.
Dr Majidi stated Bahrain was selected for its strategic position, business-friendly policies, quality human resources, innovation and technical ecosystem, and Dinamica International’s strong position in business digital innovation and transformation expertise and portfolio of implementations.
