Vermatrix has said its providing security for Plataforma Multimedia de Operadores, the new OTT platform set up by Spain’s leading cable operators.
The OTT platform is delivered via Android set-top boxes, smartphones, tablets, laptops and smart TVs. Verimatrix Multi-DRM has been selected as has technology from Mirada and Anevia.

Plataforma Multimedia de Operadores is backed by PTV Telecom, Opencable, ACUTEL and AOTEC.

The commercial launch is slated for the first quarter of 2020 and has a target of 60,000 subscribers.
