MTN Business Namibia has announced the launch of fixed LTE services in the coastal towns of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay as part of its network expansion, reports New Era. The launch of the towers follows the deployment of two others in Cimbebasia and Rocky Crest in Windhoek in October and takes the number of fixed LTE sites operated by the ISP to nine. The company is offering clients at the coast free installation until the end of January 2020.
Franko Venter, MTN Business Namibia Manager, commented: ‘Following the installation of two towers at the Dome in Swakopmund and city centre in Walvis Bay, MTN customers will now enjoy a wireless broadband communication service that delivers super-fast internet in a way that suits the budget for the home and small business. Our capacity is capable of providing high quality connectivity to the coast without congestion.’
