Kyivstar, a national telecommunications operator, invested UAH 1.4 billion in new technologies in the third quarter of 2019, which is 86% higher compared with the relevant quarter in 2018, the company’s press service reported.
“In Q3 2019, Kyivstar capital expenditures amounted to UAH 1.4 billion, which is 86% more than in the relevant quarter of 2018. Due to increased investments in new technologies, the company expanded its 4G network to 7,885 towns and villages. Thus, the number of subscribers using mobile Internet grew by 12%, and data traffic consumption per subscriber rose by 69%,” reads the report.
According to the company, 26.4 million subscribers used Kyivstar mobile telecommunications services in the third quarter of 2019. In particular, more than 60% of them used mobile Internet services.
The total revenue of Kyivstar rose by 18.3% in Q3 2019, to UAH 5.8 billion.
Over the reporting period, the company paid taxes, fees and charges for radio frequencies in a total amount of UAH 2 billion.
