Tunisia towards a new era in telecoms with Sotetel-Ati partnership

Tunisia’s telecoms company Sotetel, which specializes in the implementation and maintenance of telecommunications network infrastructure, signed a strategic partnership agreement last week with the Tunisian Internet Agency (ATI). They seek to improve their respective ICT offers and develop more effective responses to customers’ needs, especially in the Wi-Fi and smart city segments.

The partnership between SOTETEL, a subsidiary of the incumbent operator Tunisie Télécom, and ATI, actually reflects a collaboration between two public companies with similar and complementary expertise. “With ATI's offer of Wifi services, Smart Cities will be boosted by the professionalism of SOTETEL, a technology solutions integrator,” said Moez Maaref, ATI's CEO. According to him, this “cooperation will be a success based on a Win-Win model.”

The cooperation between SOTETEL and ATI is part of Tunisie Télécom's ambitions to position itself as a key player in the country’s digital transformation. Through Wifi and Smart Cities, the telecom company wants to create an enabling environment for better conditions for mobility and transport, security, access to public services and management of people's resources.
