German streaming provider Waipu.tv said that it is now available on Android TV devices. The Waipu.tv app can be downloaded via the Play Store on Android TVs from manufacturers such as Sony, Philips or Sharp.
Viewers receive over 100 channels, while being able to use the recording function. Through the so-called continuous recording function, they have an overview of the programmes as well as live TV, pay-TV, films and series on demand. Depending on the package, viewers can stream the programmes in parallel on up to four devices such as TV, smartphone, PC or tablet.
Customers can also watch live TV peogrammes on Android devices through the "o2 TV powered by waipu.tv“ subscription, an IPTV service launched by Telefonica and Waipu.tv. The service offered by Waipu.tv costs EUR 4.99 per month.
