Egypt's ITIDA inks deal with Juniper Networks

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Juniper Networks, a leading company in network solutions and technology, to enhance cooperation in building digital human capacities and skills needed to develop technological projects to boost digital transformation.

ITIDA Acting CEO Hala El Gohary and Juniper Networks CEO Rami Rahim signed the MoU.

The MoU aims at establishing strategic partnership between the two sides in honing Egyptian human skills, improving knowledge, and nurturing talents and skilled personnel working in ICT.

The two sides agreed that the partnership should focus on providing a comprehensive educational program and content, based on the company’s current best practices. This aims to promote the knowledge and academic content, especially for undergraduates and graduates of Egyptian universities and educational institutions, to equip them with a specialized set of technical skills.

The program also aims at increasing the number of trained calibers to work in ICTs, in particular services and networks.

As per the MoU, the two sides shall cooperate to carry out a number of initiatives that serve digital transformation to develop projects and technological services for citizens and improve government services, as the need for ICT services and solutions grows in Egypt.
