Crnogorski Telekom has announced it has become the first mobile network operator in Montenegro to offer subscribers download speeds of 500Mbps, which can now be accessed in one of the most visited locations in Podgorica, including the City Mall and Delta City shopping centres. The 500Mbps speeds are enabled by using advanced technologies and modulations (CA1 4×4 MIMO2 and 256 QAM) supported by the latest smartphones.
According to Valentina Radulovic, Crnogorski Telekom’s Director of Technology, the cellco is continuing to develop its infrastructure after achieving speeds of 925Mbps during network testing in March. ‘Our users are currently enjoying the benefits of the most reliable mobile network in Montenegro, which is best evidenced by the fact that more than half of the 4G traffic in the country passes through our network. We continuously strive to respond to the needs of the most demanding users,’ she adds.
