MTS Belarus upgrades LTE network with 2,600 MHz band

Mobile operator MTS Belarus has upgraded its LTE network with new base stations in the 2,600 MHz band in Minsk, as well as in regional and municipal centres. More than 300 LTE base stations have already been launched using the 2,600 MHz band.

The LTE-2600 base stations have become available in Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Bereza, Dobrush, Zhlobin, Lida, Mozyr, Pinsk and Slonim, as well as in other cities and towns. MTS Belarus provides its LTE services in cooperation with the state-owned infrastructure operator beCloud.

MTS also announced that it cut the rate of the Honor 7A smartphone in its shops. Featuring a 5.45-inch screen, 3,020 mAh battery and tetra-core Mediatek processor, the phone costs BYN 180, or a monthly payment of BYN 16.36 under and annual contract and BYN 7.82 under a 24-month contract.
