Clementvale Baltic OÜ has become an Associate member of the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) to progress the development of international standards for innovative technologies in the telecom industry.
Clementvale Baltic OÜ has joined ITU-T’s Study Group 2 that works on operational aspects of service provision and telecommunication management. As part of this group, Clementvale Baltic OÜ plans to actively participate in studies and development of the standards that are related to the following areas: principles of service provision; the operational impact of the Internet, services and infrastructure convergence and new services, such as OTT and M2M/IoT, on international telecommunication services and networks; management architecture and security, and others.
“We are honoured to join ITU and be among the pioneers who will lay down all necessary standards for promising technologies in telecom. Those who set the standards will be playing a key role in the implementation of new technologies into the whole industry.
We believe that our expertise will help to make a significant contribution to the standardization process as our team has already developed a blockchain-based platform. We are also ready to offer turnkey business models for joint elaboration”, said Jaanus Kikas, Management Board Adviser.
As modern technologies are rapidly changing, currently, there are good prospects for development of new technologies related to connection of various devices and new business models for distribution of mobile services that require blockchain technology, remote SIM provisioning (RSP) and eSIM standards.
In fact, the current offline models are being gradually abandoned and the transition to the new virtual online service distribution model is taking place. Clementvale Baltic OÜ is actively participating in this transformation and collaborating with mobile operators worldwide to introduce new business models and new platforms. On the one hand, these models will allow operators to reduce the cost of service distribution and connection of clients. On the other hand, they will encourage “silent” roamers — subscribers that remain silent while travelling — to use mobile services.
Clementvale Baltic OÜ aims to provide easy and convenient access to mobile services as well as to participate in the development of new market segments by creating a global marketplace.
The Clementvale Baltic OÜ team has already been participating in the ITU-T Focus Group on the Application of Distributed Ledger Technology (FG DLT) and plans to continue sharing their expertise in the blockchain technology, as well as participate in other ITU focus and working groups on the development and standardization of innovative technologies.
