Polish mobile operator Play has confirmed that its ‘LTE Ultra’-branded LTE-A network now spans 1,705 locations across the country. Of this figure, 381 towns and cities are home to more than 10,000 citizens, while the remainder are home to at least 1,000 residents. In terms of standard LTE coverage, Play now delivers 4G to 2,235 locations.
TeleGeography notes that the quad-band carrier aggregation (CA) LTE Ultra solution went live in August 2016. The upgraded network utilises 800MHz and 2600MHz frequencies awarded in June 2016, alongside its existing spectrum holdings in the 1800MHz and 2100MHz bands.
