The German association of alternative operators Breko and the municipal utility Unna are cooperating to offer broadband connections on the Breko trading platform.
The Unna utility's FTTH connections will in future also be available to other providers on fair terms (Open Access). The Breko trading platform, which was launched by the syndicate Breko EG in 2017, brings together fibre network providers and consumers. The platform is open to all market participants.
The utility has been building broadband since 2003 to supply the city of Unna as well as commercial and industrial areas. So far, it has laid more than 100 km of broadband in the eastern Ruhr area.
