Orange Romania, the country’s largest mobile network operator (MNO) by subscribers, has announced that it has upgraded its 4G voice calling technology to ‘HD Voice Plus’ to enable customers to experience greater call quality and clarity.
Orange Romania is the first subsidiary of Orange Group to roll out the HD Voice Plus technology, also known as Enhanced Voice Services (EVS). Orange Romania has stated that HD Voice Plus will be available on certain handsets, namely the LG G7, Huawei Mate 20 PRO, Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Sony Xperia XZ2 and Sony Xperia XZ3. The cellco noted that in order for these phones to benefit from the new technology they will receive upgrades by the end of February.
