Tunisia internet agency to partner with Russian blockchain platform

The Tunisa Internet Agency (ATI) has signed a partnership with a Russian blockchain platform called Universa. In this partnership the ATI is to provide hosting services for Universa.

As reported by a press release, the ATI has signed a 10 year deal with Universa to provide hosting services for the platform and push the platform into further development. ATI’s origins are rooted in Tunisia, being founded in 1996. They are a governmental body that is ran by the Ministry of Communications with a mission to promote internet usage in the country. By branching off and helping the Russian blockchain platform Universa, they plan on developing value added service in the blockchain field, digital economy, and digitization of paperwork.

With the two parties coming together they plan on working towards the future and developing joint projects in the field of blockchain as a service (BaaS), which can include digital currency, digital identity, smart cities and e-governance. Universa is also looking to develop additional services and mesh them with new technological platforms, such as e-certifications and the digital economy.
