Dialog Axiata has become the first mobile money service provider in Sri Lanka to be granted certification under the GSMA’s Mobile Money Certification initiative. Through its Mobile Payment Network, eZ Cash, Dialog Axiata is among first seven mobile money service providers in the world and the first in Sri Lanka to receive the certification. eZ Cash connects over 16 million Sri Lankan mobile users with 20,000 merchants and service providers and was named the winner of the ‘NFC and Mobile Money Award’ at the 2015 Global Mobile Awards.
Mobile subscribers of Dialog, Etisalat and Hutch have seamless access to the full portfolio of eZ Cash services, bringing forward a combined subscriber base who could transact electronically via eZ Cash.
