German broadcaster Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland has expanded its OTT platform TV Now.
In addition to the free-to-air TV channels, the pay-TV channels of the Cologne-based media group are now also on board, as well as more exclusive content and programmes available ahead of their TV debut.
The livestream portfolio now includes the following channels: RTL, VOX, RTL II, n-tv, Nitro, RTL plus, NOW US, Super RTL, Toggo plus, RTL Crime, RTL Passion, RTL Living and GEO Television.
The monthly price of the platform which launched on March 1, 2016, combining live TV and on-demand TV, rises from €2.99 to €4.99 at the same time. The offer can continue to be tested free of charge for 30 days.
The 7-day catch-up TV service remains free of charge and financed by advertising.
TV Now can be accessed directly through the internet at www.tvnow.de as well as via smartphones, tablets, the Apple streaming box, the Apple TV app, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV. Further platforms are to follow in 2019.
