Just a month after Malian mobile network operator Malitel finally secured permission to begin offering 4G services in the country – via an addendum to its existing concession – it has now reportedly begun offering LTE-based services on a commercial basis.
According to Agence Ecofin, which cites comments made by the cellco’s managing director, Adel Aziz Biddine, Malitel’s 4G services will initially be available in Bamako and ‘other parts of the country’.
