beCloud boosts network capacity on life:) network by over 50%

National mobile infrastructure provider Belarusian Cloud Technologies (beCloud) has revealed that it has expanded the existing network capacity of mobile operator Belarusian Telecommunications Network (BeST life:)) by more than 50%. The improvements will, it says, deliver life:) customers faster data transfer rates when surfing the web.

In addition, beCloud has confirmed that it plans to launch base transceiver stations (BTS) operating at 2600MHz this month, with the first phase switch-on targeting the nation’s biggest cities – Minsk, Brest, Gomel, Mogilev, Vitebsk, Grodno, Baranovichi, Borisov, Gorki, Zhodino, Ivatsevichi, Kobrin, Lida, Mozyr, Molodechno, Novopolotsk, Ostrovtsa, Pinsk, Polotsk and Soligorsk.

Commenting on the development, beCloud CEO Oleg Sedelnik said: ‘LTE technology is booming. In 2018 alone, 4G population coverage increased significantly to blanket about 180 cities, towns and settlements across the country. The need for high speeds will increase, because the solution to many issues, such as improving business efficiency and the availability of various services, depends on the speed of data transfer. beCloud is ready for increasing user loads, and our technicians are working systematically to expand the existing network.’
