Swisscom has become the first operator in Switzerland to pass the 40 Mbps milestone in the LTE speed analysis of OpenSignal, the mobile analytics company. It its latest Mobile Networks Update Switzerland, OpenSignal analysed the 3G and LTE consumer experience on the networks of Sunrise, Swisscom and Salt.
Swisscom has increased its average speed by over 3 Mbps in OpenSignal's measurements over the past six months to move further ahead of its rivals. Similarly, in the overall download speed analysis, Swisscom increased its score by over 3 Mbps to keep its title and extend its lead over its competitors.
Swisscom also won both OpenSignal latency awards, while the most notable growth came from Salt, which saw an improvement of over 5 milliseconds in the LTE latency category.
In the LTE availability analysis, it was Salt that showed the best growth, as its LTE availability score increased by 3 percentage points in the last six months to close the gap on the leaders.
