VIVA, Kuwait's fastest-growing and most developed telecom operator, announced its sponsorship of the annual 54th conference of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) - United Kingdom branch. The event took place at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane in London, from 26 until 28 October 2018, Assistant Undersecretary of Information Mr. Mohammed Bin Naji, Ambassador of Kuwait in London Mr. Khaled Abdulaziz Al-Duwaisan and NUKS – UK Branch’s President Mr. Fahed Abdallah Al-Otaibi.
The conference featured various cultural, religious, sport and entertainment activities, including play show, poetry night, soccer tournament, games, and VIVA contest presented by Omar Al-Othman, where prizes and gifts were presented to participants.
On this Occasion, Abdulrazzaq Bader Al-Essa, Corporate Communications Director at VIVA said: "VIVA is sponsoring the annual conference of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students, the UK branch, which brings together Kuwaiti students throughout the UK in an academic, cultural, social and entertaining atmosphere". He added: “We at VIVA always strive to foster and nurture activities, events and initiatives that enrich the experience of Kuwaiti students inside and outside Kuwait and our corporate social responsibility at VIVA is part of our strategy and drives us to support them.”
The National Union of Kuwaiti Students is considered to be the lone representative for the Kuwaiti students studying in the United Kingdom, as it is well known to be the oldest branch of the Union, established in London 1950. The students union aims to serve its members by demanding of protecting their rights, ensuring the successful encouragement of students in getting their scientific procurement.
