Beeline Kazakhstan has begun upgrading its LTE-A mobile network in the country’s capital Astana to claim a peak data speed capability of 475Mbps via carrier aggregation in three frequency bands alongside 4×4 MIMO and 256QAM technologies. Beeline (registered as KaR-Tel) added in a press release that by the end of 2018 it intends to cover a third of Astana with the 475Mbps-capable technology as well as begin upgrading its 4G network in other major cities of Kazakhstan. It also said that it will continue to develop the network to boost data rates further, using MIMO solutions allowing theoretical speeds up to 1Gbps, optimal for usage in densely built-up areas, especially large cities.
