Juniper Networks to bring comprehensive digital security system to Bangladesh

As Bangladesh moves towards further digitization, a comprehensive digital security system must be brought in to support the technological infrastructure of the country, said high officials of Juniper Networks during an interaction with the country's media outlets.

Juniper Networks, a giant in the global networking climate, has poised itself to introduce Software Defined Security System (SDSN) to Bangladesh within the next six months.

According to the Managing Director of Juniper for India and South Asia Dinesh Verma, the installation of this system will strengthen the IT security in the government and banking sectors of the country.

“SDSN is Juniper’s cyber security platform that integrates, centralizes, and automates defence for today’s sophisticated threat landscape," explained Verma, adding that SDSN automatically detects and responds to threats as a whole ecosystem rather than as an individual entity.

Verma further added that every port of the Internet switch, the router, and every application has to be secured in order to ensure complete security of a network.

“Digital security has to be built into the system - from the server to the client," he said, explaining that this is what Juniper offers to their clients.

He also mentioned that although Bangladesh has invested a lot of money in the security landscape, the country has to adapt to the ever-changing technological climate.

Through SDSN, Juniper Networks offers an integrated security solution from the end-point to the data center.

Juniper has already introduced the SDSN framework in India.

Among others, Director of Channel Sales for India and South Asia HarshavardhanKathaley also spoke during the interaction with the media.

Established in 1997, Juniper has secured its presence in more than 100 countries.
