Maroc Telecom announced its achievement of ISO 9001 certification in its latest 2015 version. It has therefore become one of the first companies in Morocco – and the country's first telecom operator – to be awarded the latest version of this certification. Certified ISO 9001 Version 2008 for all of its business activities since 2004, Maroc Telecom was successful in its first follow-up audit, conducted on its sites in Morocco by Bureau Veritas.
As a result, it was awarded ISO 9001 Version 2015 certification for its quality management system. International standard ISO 9001 is based on a number of quality management principles, including strong customer focus, managerial motivation and commitment, a process-based approach and continual improvement. The 2015 version of ISO 9001 increases the role of Maroc Telecom's management in its quality approach and incorporates new requirements, including taking into account stakeholder expectations as well as the concept of risk and opportunities when it comes to steering the quality management system.
This certification is exclusively awarded to companies that demonstrate effective and documented protocols on continual improvement and customer communication in relation to quality of service.
