Lebanonese pay-TV provider CableVision, has announced the imminent launch of a new IP-based entertainment services in major cities across the country. CableVision will bundle its new IP to a home content delivery service with a broadband offering, delivering over 150 popular entertainment, news, sports and premier film channels alongside on-demand and OTT content. The service launch is planned in and around the capital Beirut before a new tier of cities is targeted for further expansion.
The IPTV platform will be integrated by Meatel and enabled by the tucanoRED service delivery platform from Alpha Networks, Amino’s Aria6 hybrid HEVC client device, Broadpeak’s nanoCDN for multicast ABR streaming and the Viaccess Connected Sentinel security suite along with the Viaccess multi-platform secured media player for content delivery to multiscreen devices.
