The Philippines' Globe Telecom has launched a new SD-WAN service for SMEs through its Globe myBusiness subsidiary.
The new service is designed to allow SMEs to quickly and cost-effectively adopt SD-WAN capabilities, allowing them to run real-time applications and transactions on multiple connections under one network.
Globe said the technology will enable faster and controlled data access, simplified data consolidation, secured connectivity, managed bandwidth, and higher efficiencies.
“Running a branch is not easy and running multiple branches and consolidating data are even more tedious and complicated when done manually,” Globe myBusiness VP of marketing Debbie Obias said.
“That’s why we’re here to help SMEs go digital by enabling them to connect to their branches easily to track everything that is going on from sales, inventory, expenses, among others with this new cost-efficient solution.”
She said SMEs generate around 60% of total employment in the Philippines and account for around 25% of the country's total export earnings.
“Given the importance of SME’s to the economy, we believe that we need to give them all the support to boost their productivity, reduce costs, and enhance profitability while having a secure and reliable internet network that will allow them to communicate with their employees and customers anywhere in the country. One way to help them achieve these goals is through SD-WAN.”
