Data center interconnectivity solutions provider Mellanox Technologies has been selected to upgrade Singapore's Advanced Research and Education Network (SingAREN) with fast-speed low-latency access from Singapore's National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC).
The company will provide its Mellanox 100 Gigabit Ethernet Spectrum-based switches, ConnectX adapters, cables and modules for the upgrade project.
"Our aim is to enable high-speed data transfer and user access to different facilities at various locations within Singapore to the supercomputer at NSCC," said Alan Davis, Director, NSCC.
"Mellanox's end-to-end Ethernet solution was selected due to their technology, performance and scalability advantages."
"We are excited to collaborate with NSCC to interconnect Singapore's research and educational facilities in the most efficient and scalable way," said Gilad Shainer, Vice President of Marketing at Mellanox Technologies.
"The combination of our Ethernet RoCE technology, Spectrum switches, MetroX WDM long-haul switch, cables and software provide the highest data throughput, enabling Singapore's government facility users to be at the forefront of research and scientific discovery."
