Batelco, in line with its role as exclusive telecom partner for Youth City 2030, was recognised for its support of the annual event, which recently concluded at Bahrain International Exhibition Centre Hall 2. The event took place under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee.
Youth City 2030 was organized by the General Organization for Youth & Sports (GOYS), under the guidance of His Excellency Mr. Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder, Minister of Youth & Sports Affairs, in a strategic partnership with Tamkeen. The annual event focuses on key growth areas for Bahraini youths and aims to promote creative thinking among them and encourage the development of their skills in areas such as leadership, media, information technology, arts, languages, science and sports.
In recognition of Batelco’s commitment to the success of the event, which attracted over 2000 students, His Excellency Mr. Al-Jowder presented Batelco with an award, which was received by Batelco Public Relations Specialist Shaikh Khalifa Bin Khalid Al Khalifa.
Batelco annually supports a wide range of educational and youth programmes as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. Fostering programmes that provide learning and development opportunities for young people are high on Batelco’s agenda. Events such as Youth City provide an excellent platform to encourage innovation, creativity and team building across a wide range of activities.
