Gilat Telecom has been selected by Viettel Cameroon, which operates under the brand name Nexttel, to provide 4G broadband services.
The mobile operator will be using Gilat Telecom’s fibre network both within Cameroon and across Africa to provide a fast and reliable broadband service to its customers, writes BiztechAfrica.
‘Demand for mobile broadband services is very high in Cameroon as, of course, people want to be able to access online services from their phone over a reliable and fast network,’ commented Dan Zajicek, CEO of Gilat Telecom, adding: ‘We are investing heavily in our infrastructure across Africa and this is enabling us to win large customers like Nexttel. We will continue to play a major part in Africa’s digital transformation.’
