Eng. Abdullah Alsawaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and in the presence of Eng. Hitham Alohalyi, Deputy Minister of CIT, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al Ruwais, the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, and Dr. Tarig M. Enaya, STC EBU SVP, visited Makkah District and the holy places. The delegation reviewed STC preparations for Hajj season.
After the visit, Alsawaha, said, “I was pleased of STC services provided for Pilgrims, we are all honored to dedicate our efforts to serve pilgrims from all over the world and providing new technologies and services such as IoT, and 5G to increase the efficiency and make the Hajj easer.
On the other hand, Dr Tariq mentioned that STC is keen to facilitate the mobile and data services by spreading out Mobile Base Stations in Makkah, Madinah and other holy places more than 7000 Mobile Stations, where 2838 are 4G stations.
