Vodafone Turkey said it started to work on managing 5G networking with the help of software defined network technology (SDN). The operator said it's the first in the country to use SDN technology for the first time. With intelligent network infrastructure, Vodafone will deliver higher speeds with lower latency.
With SDN technology, Vodafone aims to provide an infrastructure that can move faster than ever without human intervention in unexpected situations. By using its infrastructure more efficiently, it said it will be able to continue to meet the demands of more and more customers.
With this technology, Vodafone will simplify network operations and deliver higher speeds with lower latency. By creating intelligent alternatives for infrastructure failures, the company will manage its network with new software in order to meet instant data requests as quickly as possible. Vodafone Turkey's 5G network will be controlled by SDN controllers that will work on the new Network Functional Virtualization platform as a virtualised function.
