Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) is extending its Openet Policy and Charging solution to support Voice over LTE (VoLTE) as a further advancement of its 4G network.
SLT is rolling out VoLTE to enable better quality voice and optimise the use of network resources, as part of its plan to provide digital services to both the consumer and business segments.
Priyantha Fernandez, CTO of SLT, said: “This extension of Openet’s service will not only allow us to enable high quality VoLTE, but help us further on the journey to providing advanced digital services to our customers.”
Jason Buckalew, VP of Sales at Openet, said: “Offering subscribers exciting new services such as VoLTE…will serve to enhance customer experience while allowing SLT to optimise network capacity investments.”
