Brazilian regional operator SGLink Net said it has started to deploy FTTH and is continuing to expand its long-distance networkin order to close the optical ring between Cabo Frio and Sao Goncalo.
SGLink Net has more than 230 km of fibre installed in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The company already has the necessary infrastructure to expand FTTH to eight cities in the state. Currently, the SGLink Net network passes through Sao Goncalo, Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Itaborai, Marica, Araruama, Iguaba and Cabo Frio, with 11,000 customers.
