Hot on the heels of last month’s Hulu and Spotify bundle announcement, television streaming service Philo has just partnered with Pandora to provide a bundle of their own. Philo is the product of several broadcasters like Discovery and launched last fall, providing users with two streaming options: a 37 channel package for $17 per month, and a 46 channel package for $20 per month.
Now, through October 26th, Philo subscribers can also sign up for three free months of Pandora Premium.
It’s a good deal for music fans and cord cutters alike, but the expiration date makes it a little less compelling; after three months are up, Pandora Premium shifts back to $9.99 a month. Still, either of Philo’s two package choices -- 37 channels for $16 per month or 46 channels for $20 per month -- makes for a pretty low-cost entertainment package for those three free months.
While the Hulu/Spotify package is cheaper ($12.99 after the three-month trial period), Philo stands out with its live channels. If you want to save money on your entertainment packages while catching your favorite shows when they air, Philo with Pandora could be worth checking out.
