German telco Deutsche Telekom has won 54,000 new customers for its IPTV platform Entertain TV in Q1 2018 which now has a total of 3.19 million customers.
The growth is lower than in Q1 2017 in which 76,000 new customers were added. The figures include both fixed-line and satellite customers.
For the version of Entertain for DTH satellite households on Astra (19.2° East), Deutsche Telekom has recently adopted a new strategy in response to the increasing availability of broadband internet access in rural areas and the growing demand for streaming services among satellite households.
