Sri Lanka Export Development has organized a Sri Lanka Country Pavilion at the renowned IT Fair - Japan IT Week. Accordingly, 10 Sri Lankan ICT companies will be exhibiting their software products and services at Japan IT Week 2018.
The Sri Lanka Pavilion is located at the East Hall, E 07 -18 Booth at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan. Japan IT Week - 2018 will be held from May 9 to 11, 2018.
Talented Sri Lankan tech entrepreneurs from around the world are returning from overseas to start innovative companies, and they are bringing with them global networks and global best practices. The sector has been supported by an advanced telecoms sector, which now boasts world-class digital infrastructure and competitive mobile and internet tariffs in the region.
Sri Lanka has continuously increased ICT exports and maintains an impressive upward trend in annual figures. The annual exports last year reached US$ 1 billion and targets to achieve US$ 5 billion of exports, and provide 200,000 direct jobs and catalyst 1,000 start-ups by 2022.
Further, the ICT sector is the fourth largest export revenue earner and has been identified as one of the key sectors in Sri Lanka's National Export Strategy (NES).
Sri Lanka has a strong domain expertise on FinTec, AI, IOT, Cyber Security, Cloud, Mobile technologies to the Japanese Market. Further, Sri Lanka has Software Engineers and IT graduates who are professional in Japanese Language skills and there are Sri Lankan companies functioning in Global IT Park, Nigata Prefecture.
Japan IT Week, world's leading trade show where latest IT technologies/solutions can be found will be held from Wednesday, 09. May to Friday, 11. May 2018 in Tokyo.
