Swiss telco Swisscom has increased the number of customers of its IPTV platform Swisscom TV by 54,000 to 1.49 million within the past 12 months.
This corresponds with a growth by 3.8%, as the company announced at the presentation of its Q1 2018 figures (March 31, 2018). With a market share of 34% (previous year 33%), Swisscom TV remains the most popular digital television service in Switzerland.
This year, Swisscom TV customers can receive the FIFA Football World Cup matches on the channels of public broadcaster SRG in Ultra HD/HDR.
The number of Swisscom broadband customers rose by 37,000 to 2 million in the same period – an increase by 1.9%.
