Algeria had more than 34.6 million fixed and mobile Internet subscribers in 2017, up by 21 percent from 2016, the official APS news agency reported.
Of the total, 31.46 million are mobile Internet users, APS quoted Mohamed Ahmed Nacer, chief the Regulatory Authority of the Post and Telecommunications, as saying.
Nacer said that 90.85 percent of the Internet expenditure are on mobile networks.
The turnover of fixed and mobile operators in 2017 amounted to 429.4 billion dinars (3.75 billion U.S. dollars), he said.
