The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) organized a three-day masterclass training course on 5G in cooperation with the training firm Terrapinn. The course which was attended by a number of TRA’s employees and licensed telecommunications companies was held as part of the 4th National Telecom Plan’s objective of developing human resources capacity in the telecommunications sector.
The course gave an overview about 5G services and discussed 5G usages and benefits, including the deployment of super-efficient and super-fast mobile networks, pervasive converged fibre-wireless networks, the role of GSMA regarding 5G services. The course also discussed 5G way forward which includes setting the technical foundation for 5G, Spectrum acquisition, selecting the business models.
During the course, 5G case studies were presented, including what 5G Vendors are saying, Telcos in 2020, the Key challenges to implementing 5G networks, overcoming the risks of 5G implementation, evaluating the impact of 5G on the industry.
5G networks are the next generation of mobile internet connectivity, offering faster speeds and wider capacities.
