A mobile operator ‘Kyivstar’ launched 4G high-speed mobile internet in 20 cities of Ukraine as Petro Chernyshev, the President of ‘Kyivstar’ reported on Facebook.
‘We launched 4G in the spectrum 2600 MHz in 20 cities: Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Uzhhorod, Khmelnytsky, in the resorts and checkpoints Zatoka, Karolino-Buhaz, Kyrylivka, Yasinia, Polyanytsya, Chop, Rava-Ruska, Starovoitove, Krakovets, Ustyluh, Shehyni’, the message said.
It is noted that more than 500 additional base stations were installed for the work in the 2600 MHz spectrum where the network is more loaded. Also, the launch of 4G in 1800 MHz spectrum is expected in September 2018.
The 4G technology in Ukraine was launched on March 30. It is available for Vodafone and Lifecell users; Kyivstar intends to launch the technology by April 10.
