Leading digital services provider, Robi, has recently launched an Internet of things (IoT) based on smart factory solution for the country’s RMG sector in association with nCinga, a start-up company of Singapore.
The launching ceremony was held at a city hotel were Robi’s Managing Director and CEO, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed also Head of Enterprise Business, Md Adil Hossain, Former President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Atiqul Islam, nCinga’s Managing Director for Bangladesh Operation, Buddika Fernando, nCinga Innovations Pte Ltd’s Managing Director, Imal Kalutotage and Expert on the 4th Industrial Revolution, Martin Strommer were present.
nCinga’s next generation smart-factory solution, nFactory, is an industrial IoT based solution that assists relevant decision makers with actionable insights to improve productivity and reduce defects by creating a digital virtual belt of a factory floor by capturing events in real time and contextually streaming it to them.
Speaking on the occasion, Robi’s Managing Director and CEO, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed said “Robi aims to be a digital company, and our digital aspiration happens to coincide with the advent of the 4th industrial revolution.”
