The Russian cable operator Akado Telekom has launched an OTT service in partnership with Lifestream.
ComNews reports that Akado Telekom had previously planned to launch its own service in 2016.
Quoting Zharkyn Tursynov, the MD of Lifestream, it also says that the partnership with Akado Telekom will operate on a revenue share basis.
The new service is understood to be offering 170 TV channels in 11 packages, with the minimum cost of a package being R50 (€0.70) a month.
It is currently using content supplied by Lifestream and is expected to have several thousand subscribers by the end of the year.
