El Salvador operator Tigo (Millicom) has announced its intention to invest USD 250 million in the country this year, including USD 100 million in upgrading its 4G LTE network.
The company’s CEO Marcelo Aleman told local daily El Mundo that the aim is to bring 4G to 70 percent of El Salvador's population by the end of 2018, with Tigo also investing in the expansion of its fixed network and customer services.
