NetCologne launches cloud telephony service for SMEs

German operator NetCologne has released a cloud-based telephone system for small- and medium-sized firms. To mark the launch of this service, new customers who sign up for NeCologne’s Cloud PBX will pay only half-price for each of their phone numbers (EUR 2.95 per extension) for the first six months instead of the full price of EUR 5.90 per extension per month.

NetCologne’s service also includes a pay-per-use mechanism that allows firms to flexibly change the number of phone numbers they use with this service from month to month. As such, firms can pay only for the numbers they actually use each month without the risk of losing these numbers.

Firms can order and set up their system via NetCologne’s website and need only an internet connection and an IP-equipped end device to get started. Businesses can also order custom-fit telephones when setting up their system. Because customers configure their phone numbers themselves according to the plug-and-play principle, NetCologne does not charge porting costs or an installation fee. Mobile numbers can also be configured as PBX extensions via a smartphone app.
