Our Telekom has committed to moving forward with its nationwide rollout of 3G service to rural areas this year.
The company completed installation of the 3G network in Malaita Province before Christmas, and in a recent statement it said scheduled rural 3G installation will continue this year for the rest of the country’s provinces.
The 3G network will replace 2G service, which is expected to give customers in rural areas high-speed mobile internet services comparable to those available in towns.
