Polish group Cyfrowy Polsat has completed the preparation of radio resources for the launch of LTE 900, reported Telko.in. The first transmitters operating the system will be launched within the next few days.

In its report for the third quarter, Cyfrowy Polsat announced that it is focusing investments in the development of LTE network using the bands 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz, with the refarming of the bands 900 MHz and 2100 MHz to be completed in 2018. In case of the band 900 MHz, the resources of Aero2 were planned to be used for LTE 900. The band 2100 MHz will be used for LTE where it would be justified by the network traffic. In that band, maximum 2x10 MHz will be allocated for LTE.

The operator holds two blocks separated by 2x2.8 MHz and 2x6.2 MHz.

According to Telko.in's information, the first clusters of the LTE 900 base stations will be launched in the next few days. LTE 900 will use equipment from Ericsson. The portal has not received an official comment from Cyfrowy Polsat.
